Lab Overview

Message from Professor Nisisako

Welcome to our website!

Our laboratory, foundedin 2016, is dedicated to advancing research that explores the remarkable behaviors of fluids and their interfaces, especially at microscopic scales ranging from nanometers to micrometers.

One of our primary research initiatives focuses on the industrial applications of droplet microfluidics. While bio-applications—such as next-generation DNA analysis devices and cell analysis devices—are already being utilized, there is a increasing interest in leveraging droplet microfluidics as a transformative production technology. In response to these emerging opportunities, we are committed to driving innovation in this field.

Our team is diverse, with members from both Japan and around the world, many of whom have backgrounds in mechanical engineering. However, our research goes beyond traditional disciplines, encouraing our team to explore a broad spectrum of interconnected fields. We welcome like-minded collaborators who share our passion for pushing the boundaries of interdisciplinary research.
